Recovery score

If you connect Apple Health, PromptTrain turns your recent heart rate variability and sleep into a recovery score and can lean a session lighter on a rough day.

PromptTrain is coming soon to the App Store and is not available to download yet. Plans and limits may change before launch.

The recovery card showing a building baseline message

At a glance

  • Compared with your own baseline only
  • Needs 14 days of history, says so until then
  • Lighter session option on low days
  • Optional and not medical advice

How the score works

The score compares your last 7 days of heart rate variability with your own baseline from the last 60 days. It is always relative to you, never to anyone else's numbers.

Short sleep or an unusually small share of deep sleep can pull the score down further, but only when your device reported sleep data. It needs at least 14 days of history before it shows a number. Until then the app says it is building your baseline.

What changes on a low day

The session builder favours lighter, lower-impact exercises over heavy compounds. Nothing you have logged is changed, and it only affects that one session. You can choose to build a lighter session or train anyway.

Optional, and not medical advice

Recovery needs Apple Health access and is entirely optional. It is training guidance based on your own trend. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose anything.
